Coinbase and Binance.us give vechain their stamp of approval

In recent weeks it seems that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has set its eyes on the crypto industry with various lawsuits filed against two of the major cryptocurrency marketplaces Coinbase and Binance.

While both Coinbase and Binance.us continue to work with the SEC to meet all regulations, it shows that both exchanges are closely being monitored by the SEC about all the assets being traded on their exchanges.

This is why it is an extremely positive sign that despite the SEC’s actions, both Binance.us and Coinbase have released positive news about vechain during these uncertain times.

Binance.us supports VET – USD trading pair

Binance.us currently supports over 150+ cryptocurrencies that can be traded amongst a selection of trading pairs. In the past most coins used to have a trading pair against BTC, USDT and USD. In a recent announcement, Binance.us had decided to no longer support USD trading pairs for many currencies.

On the 23rd of June, Binance.us updated their trading offerings, allowing a selection of just 10 of their 150+ cryptocurrencies to be traded directly against USD:

It is extremely positive to see that VET is amongst the 10 selected cryptocurrencies that will offer both USD and USDT trading. This will allow many investors to directly purchase VET using their USD, without first having to convert their USD to a cryptocurrency.

Coinbase confirms VET and VTHO will get listed

The vechain team has stated that their goal has always been to get listed at all major exchanges, Coinbase included.

In a tweet on June 22nd, Coinbase officially announced that it will list both VET and VTHO for trading on its platform:

To increase their transparency, Coinbase has decided to post when they have decided to list an asset. This means that Coinbase officially confirms that an asset will get listed for trading on its platform.

At the time of writing, an exact listing date is not known yet. But looking at previous announcements from Coinbase, it should only be a matter of weeks/months before Coinbase finally lists VET and VTHO!
