In this Monthly report, we will give a summary of the most important updates that happened in the Vechain ecosystem during February 2019.

Vechain

3 Feb – Great video explaining the Vechain powered My Story service by DNV GL.

8 Feb – Vechain announced developer bounty programs to boost development by of dApps on the VechainThor platform by the community.

  1. Application Idea Hunt – Submit an application development plan and be rewarded with 100K — 1M VTHO for an easier start for the development
  2. VechainThor Supercharger – Plug in your MPP-enabled application to the VechainThor Supercharger, a program that sponsors the user transaction fee of your developed application for one month.
  3. Developer Academy Bounty – Share your development documentation, scripts or tools to help out other developers and get rewarded.
  4. Application Development Challenge – 5 applications voted by the community by April 12th and 3 Connex compatible applications selected by the Foundation will share a total reward pool of 40M VET.

14 Feb – Jerome Grilleres was invited by FashionforGood, that works with C&A, Adidas and Zalando among others, to share insights on how Blockchain can help with sustainable fashion.

15 Feb – Vechain announces new team members for their North America and Europe offices. Read more here.

  • Arnaud Bauer will join the Europe team to provide technical support to European partners, while also working closely with the DNV GL team.
  • Dimitrious Neocleous, with a background in legal consulting, will work closely with national governments in Europe to create a legislation environment for the Vechain ecosystem to grow.
  • Jason Rockwood, former CIO of Oasis Collections and Miami HEAT, will be the official point of contact in the Vechain official team for the North America region.

18 Feb – Vechain joins the Amazon AWS Partner Network. Using AWS services, enterprises can deploy secure and compliant blockchain applications in the cloud based on the VechainThor platform. You can read the official announcement here.

28 Feb – Reebonz, a Nasdaq listed online luxury platform focussing on the Southeast Asian market, has signed an MOU with Vechain. Reebonz intends to use Vechain’s counterfeit technology in its product offerings.

Ecosystem Projects

8 Feb – Safe Haven releases its first Ask Me Anything of 2019.

12 Feb – OceanEx lists TicTalk (TIC), a project running on the VechainThor blockchain.

14 Feb – Safe Haven releases the ThorBlock API, allowing dApp builders to integrate pooling and funding methods in their own projects.

14 Feb – The eSports team Digital Dynasty, a professional CS:Go and Rainbow 6 team joins Plair.

14 Feb – Safe Haven partners with crypto exchange CoinBene. CoinBene will not only list SHA, but will also work together with Safe Haven to bring new products to the market.

22 Feb – OceanEx is now tracked on the popular website CoinMarketCap.

26 Feb – Plair releases a sneak preview of the integrated Vechain wallet on its platform.

26 Feb – OceanEx opens the VTHO/USDT trading pair on its exchange, read all details here.

27 Feb – The Nauticus exchange will integrate Safe Haven’s crypto asset inheritance solution. Read all details in the official release.

27 Feb – OceanEx partners with CertiK, a leading blockchain security company. CertiK will provide code audits, penetration testing and help OceanEx deploy defense systems against attacks.
